History

UpTown Gallery began in early 2006 when First Gulf, the owners of Waterloo Town Square, invited artists Podi Lawrence and Helen Bergstrom to use an unoccupied store to display art by local artists. The artist-run gallery that was formed was originally called Art Bites. It was renamed UpTown Gallery in 2009. The Gallery has relocated a few times over the years within the Waterloo Town Square complex.

Since July 2011, UpTown Gallery has had it's most beautiful location to date. Our bigger and better space is located inside The Shops at Waterloo Town Square, opposite the atrium.
