A Dynamic Collective of Local Artists

Mary Lou Hiller

Painting is a give-and-take process communicating what I see, feel and imagine while allowing the painting to surprise me with endless expressive possibilities.

Mary Lou Hiller is well known in the Kitchener-Waterloo area as an arts educator and administrator for both the Separate and Public School Boards.  Since her retirement from teaching, she has travelled and studied with many respected artists in Canada, the United States and abroad.

Her paintings in acrylic and watercolour have been exhibited locally and provincially in solo, group and juried shows.  Mary Lou has won awards for her paintings and been complimented by many private and corporate purchases.

From spirited realism to experimental abstraction, her works are linked by a love of vibrant colour, evocative light and implied story line. She is affiliated with the Kitchener-Waterloo Society of Artists and the Central Ontario Artists' Association. She is a member of the Diversity Artists group.

Mary Lou’s artwork is available here at UpTown Gallery, and at Gallery M in Cambridge.
