A Dynamic Collective of Local Artists

A Dynamic Collective of Local Artists

Carolyn Dix

“Time is a precious commodity and an equalizer in society. What we value is how we spend our time.” I have spent the past number of years creating a series of art pieces exploring time and its many facets. I feel the need to build and create 3D layers adding a variety of objects, textures and paint, to bring my thoughts and memories into physical reality.

Carolyn Dix is a member of the Kitchener-Waterloo Society of Artists, Art$Pay, and the Central Ontario Art Association. She is a mixed-media artist with a creative mind who loves to work with many mediums including acrylic paints, papers, metal, caulking, glass, wood and other items that excite her senses as an artist. A multi-year design program at Conestoga College primarily using wood as her media, plus a year of art classes with guidance from international teachers brought depth and uniqueness to her art.
